BBQ/Sis-Bro Games: May 21, 2006

Thank you to all the sisters who made it out to our very first Eta Chapter Zeta Sis - Zeta Bro Games & BBQ ever, even if you were unable to participate in the games. Congratulations to our first place winners, Khristine and Mikey! Pictures will be added soon of the events that took course throughout the day, including the competition!

The afternoon started out with a BBQ at the UCLA Sunset Recreational Center to get everyone ready for the games. Everybody warmed up for competition as two games of Prisoner were played in the sand volleyball pit by a combination of sisses and bros, followed by a brotherhood tournament of Lazer (Congratulations to Nate for winning!). Each Zeta Sis was paired up with their bro, or a bro from their family, and vied in a friendly competition to show which duo has the best bond as Zeta Sis and Zeta Bro and bring pride home to their family. The following are the results of the games:

Movie Night: May 22, 2006

Once again, thank you to the Zeta Sisses who were able to make it out to our Movie Night, where we watched Disney Pixar's Over The Hedge in Westwood.

Mini Golf: May 25, 2006

The Zeta Family spent the evening at Sherman Oaks Castle Park, where we played a round of miniature golf in a relaxed family atmosphere, playing arcade games, and swinging away in the batting cages.

Zeta Sis Retreat: May 28-29, 2006

Retreat began Sunday afternoon as we all rendezvoused at our hotel in Anaheim across from Disneyland. We warmed ourselves up with an icebreaker (creating and untying a knot, where WE were the rope), followed by a serious family talk to help all of us see and guide the Eta Chapter Zeta Sis program to grow through discussion and input. This was immediately followed by getting bizzerk as we warmed ourselves for a night on the town, or should I say, downtown... Downtown Disney, that is. When everybody was feeling it, we headed out and adventured through Downtown Disney and finally making our stop at ESPN Zone for dinner, only to find ourselves with an hour and a half long wait. So, what better way to pass the time then to play in the arcade? Amongst the games played were basketball, virtual ping pong, and virtual boxing! After dinner, we adventured around Downtown Disney one last time before heading back to the hotel room... where we continued to get bizzerk! Playing Bop It! and holding a Yo Mama tournament (Congratulations to Nate for winning... again), we warmed ourselves up to a late night adventure one last time on the streets around Disney. After all was said and done, we returned to the hotel to rest and save up energy for the next day. In the morning, we wrapped up the retreat and ate at Denny's.

Thank you to all the bros and sisses who attended any and all Zeta Sis Appreciation Week events and to all of the individuals who made this week happen, as well as the individuals who made this week as exciting as it was. We hope to see you all again next year for our second annual Zeta Sis Appreciation Week.
